Building Resilient Communities, One Village at a Time 💪🏘️

Today, WORDS Foundation Pakistan under the National Humanitarian Network Pakistan (NHN) initiative successfully conducted a Community Awareness & Consultation Session in Village Essa Khan Khiazai, District Jaffarabad.

43 community members joined us — 25 men and 18 women — to take the lead in disaster preparedness.

Together we discussed:
✅ Formation of Village Disaster Management Committee (VDMC)
✅ Multi-Hazard Vulnerability & Risk Assessment (MHVRA)
✅ Local hazards, vulnerabilities & existing capacities
✅ Community-led disaster risk reduction & early warning systems

The energy in the room was incredible. Women and men both shared their insights to make Jaffarabad safer and stronger against natural and climate-induced hazards.
